About Me:

After many years at your typical “global” gym without seeing any real results I was in search of something more, which lead me to the CrossFit Barrington community in February 2012. I was amazed that after a few short months I lost close to 40 pounds and was the strongest I had ever been. I attribute this great achievement to the hard working coaches and supportive community at CrossFit Barrington.

My passion is derived from my commitment to helping others achieve their individual fitness goals. I am committed to seeing CrossFit Barrington members excel within the Box because I know this will translate over to the real world in their daily lives.

Past Sports/Events/Activities:

Hockey: I have been skating as long as I can remember. Rumor has it I learned how to skate before I took my first steps. I played varsity hockey during my four-year tenure at Carmel High School in Mundelein, IL and continue to play for The Honey Badgers in the RMAHL.

Cooking:

I have long had a passion for the culinary arts which lead me to attend The Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago where I graduated in 2008. These passions lead me to Jacksonville, Florida where I worked at the acclaimed Restaurant “Medure”. While working, the restaurant received its coveted 4 stars making it one of the top eateries in Northern Florida. I continue to cook while at home and try to take what I have learned and apply it to the Paleo Diet (80/20 of course).

Outdoors:

I try to spend as much time outdoors as I can. I have spent time fishing in Canada. Hiked a portion of the Appalachian Trail in the Smokey Mountains National Park. And have also canoed in the boundary waters of Northern Minnesota and Southern Canada.

Inspirations:

My parents, my friends and my dog, Duke inspire me.

Goals:

Long-term- To stay as healthy as possible so that my grandkid’s kids have to put up with me

Short-term- To conquer the bar muscle up
