What was your fitness routine before CrossFit?

Running 3-4 days a week

Favorite WOD?

Filthy Fifty, 31 Heroes in 92 degrees with Best CrossFit friend Katie E.

(40 burpees, 30 snatch @ 45lb, 30 burpees, 30 snatch @ 75lb, 20 burpees, 30 snatch @ 100lb… and that’s as far as I made it in the 17 min window)

Least favorite WOD?

Open WOD 14.5

Favorite lift?

Overhead Squat

Least favorite lift?

Deadlift.

How has your view about CrossFit changed since your first WOD at CFB?

I now view CrossFit as a fitness lifestyle, not as an opportunity to be whacked in the face during dodgeball.

 What were your goals when joining CrossFit?  Have you achieved any of these goals?

First goal was to have more stamina for skiing.  Check!

Second goal was to lose weight.  Gained weight, but I look & feel better (have you seen my arms????)

How has CrossFit affected your life outside of the gym?

I prioritize exercise differently now.  When I was a runner, I would make up excuses that other things were more important than running, and skip it.  Now, I do everything in my power to get to Crossfit, even if it means walking out on my VP.

 What advice would you give to a newbie just joining CrossFit Barrington?

Don’t quit.
