How and when did you start doing CrossFit?
I started CrossFit back in November of 2013 at the recommendation of a friend. Like many others, I had been working out in regular gyms for years and was bored
with the same old routine and finding it difficult to stay motivated. The variety of skills and movements associated with CF and the group aspect was really appealing and at this point I think I’m in my best shape since playing lacrosse in college.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. Family? Job? Hobbies?
I’m originally from New Jersey and moved to Chicago in the spring of ‘94. My wife and I are celebrating our 20th anniversary this month and we have two daughters, Camryn (11) and Ella (6). I work in sales for a distributor of medical equipment.
Music is my main hobby and I also enjoy skiing and traveling. Most of my free time outside of the kid’s activities is spent collecting/listening to records and going to an occasional concert or Cubs game.
Favorite WOD and Favorite Movement?
My favorite WODs are the ones that are not too long or too short and include one of the olympic lifts. I’d say Isabel is my favorite WOD and clean and jerk would be my favorite movement.
Least favorite WOD and least favorite movement?
My least favorite WOD has to be Fight Gone Bad and toes to bar would be my least favorite movement.
Your Favorite junk food?
If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three items would you want with you?
Surfboard, iPod, and an endless supply of margaritas
Describe yourself in one word?
If you could create a WOD, what would it look like?
My perfect wod would be a 13 min amrap of double unders, power cleans, and handstand push-ups.
